Gateway to Improved Cloud Provider Margins for the SME/Branch Office Market, and Optimised Cloud User Experience

October 26th 2010, Broadband World Forum Europe 2010, Paris: OneAccess, the European leader in multi service access routers, today announces the ONE1500 multi service access router, a new and innovative platform which leverages the company’s 27% share of all European branch office routers sold into the cloud services market. The ONE1500 will protect service provider margins by collapsing three hardware platforms into one – Multi Service Access Router, Session Border Controller and Value Added App Processor – and offering ongoing operational cost benefits. It will also improve the user experience of cloud services by accelerating application performance whilst providing improved security.

Continuing OneAccess’s market leading price performance, the ONE1500 extends the capabilities of the existing ONE Series MSAR range by incorporating dual core network processing, one for routing and one to power apps such as network acceleration, Unified Threat Management and value added 3rd party software. In addition the ONE1500 supports the high speed, symmetrical broadband uplinks, including GigE and GPON.

“The ONE1500 is potentially a market defining device, with its huge price/performance advantage, its ability to collapse at least three CPE functions onto one platform, and our ability to custom develop and custom build product to specific service providers’ cloud requirements,” commented Mike Wilkinson, CMO at OneAccess. “Service providers now have the opportunity to make compelling margins and drive SMEs’ appetite around cloud services into sizable market demand.”

“Organizations of all sizes stand to benefit from the lower cost, higher value, predictable utility of cloud services, but service providers must develop the right infrastructure and go-to-market strategies to deliver them,” commented Matthias Machowinski, Directing Analyst for Enterprise Voice & Data at Infonetics Research. “Operators need solutions that are robust enough to seamlessly integrate network processing functions at the customer premise and simplify service provisioning in order to deliver a compelling offering for end customers.”

The ONE1500 ships ready-equipped for voice and data cloud services including SIP Centrex and Unified Communications. In addition, high speed symmetrical broadband uplinks with Gigabit Ethernet and GPON come as standard.
