Office Mobile Suite on Windows 10 Mobile gets a small update

Dave W. Shanahan

The Office Mobile Suite apps on Windows 10 Mobile all received small updates today. Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, and OneNote for Windows 10 Mobile all received what look like small bug fixes and performance improvements, although there are no noticeable feature additions to the apps available.

As per usual, Microsoft has not provided any changelogs for this new round of updates to the apps in the Office Mobile Suite. Unlike the last Office Suite Mobile update, OneNote for Windows 10 Mobile was not left out of an update this time around. Here’s a quick look at each app and some of these features currently available within each app in the Office Mobile Suite on Windows 10 Mobile.

Word Mobile

  • Use your pen or finger to write, draw, and highlight with tools on the Draw tab
  • Pin your favorite files to the Start menu to keep them handy

Excel Mobile

  • Easily convert a table into plain rows and columns for better customization
  • Get to the right level of detail; expand or collapse grouped rows and columns

PowerPoint Mobile

  • Open the camera directly from PowerPoint and take a picture to use directly on a slide
  • Your notes open right next to your slide. Tap again to go back to your slide

OneNote for Windows 10 Mobile

  • Play your favorite video links from YouTube, TED, Office Mix, and more in OneNote and watch them
  • Create your own interactive web story with Sway and then embed it in your notes by pasting a link

If Microsoft does decide to start posting changelogs for their Office Mobile Suite, WinBeta will keep you updated with the latest.
