Office for ipad lets you purchase a subscription within the app, and guess who gets a cut

Earlier today, Microsoft unveiled Office for iPad, brining the popular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to Apple's iPad tablet. Unfortunately, in order to edit documents, you are required to have an Office 365 subscription. Thankfully, you can purchase a subscription within the app (gotta love in-app purchases). But did you know that Apple actually gets a 30% cut for each purchase? Yup. "If anything is sold in the app, the sellers have to use Appleā€™s method [in-app purchase mechanism] and hand over 30 percent," the folks over at Recode stated. No wonder Apple is happy to have Office on the iPad.
