Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to bring forth a plethora of new features and improvements for Windows Phone users. In fact, a developer preview of the operating system update is set to roll out next week. However, don’t expect any new features in Office – just yet.
According to a tweet by Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore, Office in Windows Phone 8.1 will simply feature bug fixes and no significant feature updates. Of course, that can change in the future as improvements are made to the app. Belfiore revealed this via a tweet when asked if there would be improvements to Office in Windows Phone 8.1.
Office on Windows Phone 8 allows you to work on your Microsoft Office documents and includes the following apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint Workspace.
You can take a look at the tweet below. Are you looking forward to Windows Phone 8.1? Are there any featurs you would like to see in Office for Windows Phone?
