Outlook for Android Update Featured

We reported back on April 7, 2016, that the Outlook team was adding in Wunderlist, Facebook, and Evernote “Calendar Apps” to Outlook on Android and iOS. This functionality is pulled over from the Sunrise Calendar app that Microsoft acquired and allows Outlook to pull data from other services and display it in the calendar portion of the apps.

Well, apparently, this update was pushed to Android devices on April 26, 2016. Here’s the changelog for version 2.1.4:

WHAT’S NEW

Introducing our brand new Calendar Apps, a new way of seeing all your tasks, events and notes from your digital life in one place: your Outlook calendar.
Try connecting your Facebook, Wunderlist or Evernote accounts from the menu in the Calendar view and let the magic happen.
We’ve also added support for .eml format. Emails attached to other emails? So meta, we just couldn’t resist.

If you haven’t updated then you may want to visit the Play Store app and hit that update button. Or, if you’d like to give Outlook a try on your Android device, then you can download it below. It’s free and a nice alternative to the stock email app.
