Microsoft has unveiled a new initiative via the company’s Technology for Good program, which offers Office 365 for Nonprofit organizations across the globe. This pretty much means that if qualified, nonprofit organizations across the world can have Office 365 for free.
“Microsoft took a significant step forward in its mission to help nonprofits harness the power of technology with its announcement of the global availability of Office 365 for Nonprofits through the Technology for Good program,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
Office 365 for Nonprofits is available in 41 countries across the globe and will be expanded to 90 countries by July 2014. Microsoft adds that there is no cap on the number of nonprofit employees who can use a donated instance of Office 365. The organization can have 10 employees or 1000 employees.
