Back in July of this year, Microsoft announced the Microsoft Bookings service, which offered up businesses a self-service option for customers to book appointments directly in a centralized calendar. Today the company has taken to the official Office Blog to announce that Microsoft Bookings can now be connected to a Business’s Facebook page.
According to Microsoft, once Bookings is enabled via a Facebook page, customers can use a “Book Now” button to select whatever service and time works for their schedule. Contact information will then automatically be filled in for the customer, and you will then be able to visit the Bookings web page to view the scheduling information just as if the customer had used the page itself.
Currently, Microsoft Bookings is only part of Office 365 Business Premium in the United States and Canada. To use the Facebook functionality, you also need to publish your Bookings Page as it is used as an indicator that you’d like your customers to book appointments with you online.
