Global telecoms engineering consultancy group Nova Incepta has announced today the launch of its Fibre to the Home group, created to provide advice and support to operators world-wide in the implementation of their FTTH projects. Headed by John Enoch and Dr Paul France, two of the leading global experts in the design and implementation of next generation access architectures, the group will focus on delivering powerful, least cost, end-to-end solutions based on providing the highest quality advice, consultancy and support from initial concept through to deployment, operation and customer satisfaction monitoring.

Paul France has over 35 years’ experience in the field of telecommunications and IT and is a leading authority on optical technology with an extensive background in broadband IP networks and services. He is a pioneer in optical fibre development with over 10 patents and 100 papers published in the field. He is also the author of three books, including ‘Local Access Technologies’ published by the IET. His previous roles have included BT General Manager for Solution Design of broadband services and as BT Programme Director for major broadband initiatives: FTTH and ADSL2+.
John Enoch – expert in access networks including NGA technologies such as FTTH
John Enoch has 34 years’ experience within BT from apprentice to senior manager, followed by 10 years as the UK Vice President of a telecoms equipment supplier. He has advised several telecoms manufacturers about their FTTH operational strategy. Undertaking the role of General Manager Access at BT, he had national responsibility for a multi-million pound capital spend and a brief to implement a “World Class Access Network.” He also led a team of BT senior managers carrying out a strategic study of the Access Network requested by the BT Main Board, and he was BT District Manager Access for East Anglia serving 3M customers, with a team of over 2000 people and exacting Quality of Service targets.
Nova Incepta has worked on a number of high profile projects including advising an incumbent network operator on optimizing the design of its FTTH network and advising STC on many aspects of its FTTH programme in Saudi Arabia.
Nova Incepta’s end-to-end capability in FTTH spans a whole range of activities from concept to customer satisfaction monitoring, covering business case development, tendering, planning, design, implementation and maintenance. The FTTH team provide comprehensive advice and hands-on support from designing open architecture solutions that deliver least cost deployment, provisioning and maintenance.
