Notion Ink launches super-affordable Windows 8.1-powered Cain8 tablet for Rs 9,990 ($160) in India
For all our Indian readers who were craving for an affordable Windows tablet, Notion Ink has something special for you. The company has just launched Cain8, a Windows 8.1-powered tablet with reasonably impressive set of hardware. The tablet is priced at Rs 9,990 ($160) and is exclusively available through Snapdeal.
As far as the hardware specifications are concerned, the Cain8 sports an 8-inch screen with 1280×800 screen resolution. It is powered by Intel Atom Processor Z3735F (2M Cache, up to 1.83 GHz Burst Frequency, 1.33GHz Base Frequency) paired with 1GB of RAM, and runs on Windows 8.1. On the camera front, it has a 2-megapixel shooter upfront, and a 2-megapixel camera on the back. The device comes with a 4,000mAh Lithium Polymer Battery, which as the company claims will provide you 10 hours of reading with UniCode support, or 6 hours of video, or around 22 hours of audio.
On the storage front, the device comes with 16GB memory, which you can expand upto 64GB via microSD card. On the connectivity front, it supports Wifi, Bluetooth, as well as 3G. As if that wasn’t enough of a great deal, you also get one-year Office 365 subscription for free, which will give you advanced features and 1TB storage on OneDrive.
