Nokia has had a big year. Following the purchase of their services and devices division earlier in the year and the mass migration of staff that ensued, they have fallen out of the public eye somewhat. It seemed as though things would stay that way too, with the company seeming to prefer to solely focus on growing their remaining assets.
Yet, in the last few months, things have changed a little. First Microsoft began to move the ‘Nokia’ branding from their Lumia devices and websites somewhat earlier than expected. Next, rumblings came from within that not only might Nokia be working on the production of an Android handset (if real, most likely forked), but that in the future we will see a return of the name to the wider consumer market. The story has taken yet another interesting turn, with Nokia cagily tweeting earlier today.

Displaying an image of a nondescriptive black box with rounded corners, the only thing that is certain is that tomorrow promises to be highly interesting, especially with splinter group Jolla promising ‘something big’ on the same date too. What could it be?
