Nokia Oct 22 event

Nokia is scheduled to hold an event in Abu Dhabi on October 22nd and rumors have suggested that Nokia would unveil the Lumia 1520. Now, a new report from The Verge states that Nokia is definitely unveiling the 1520 on that day, along with five other devices.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be the first device that supports a 1080p resolution on Windows Phone. The device reportedly sports 2GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 6 inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage, and an SD slot. We learned recently that the Lumia 1520 would be available on AT&T in early November for an off-contract price of $699.

The report states that we will see at least two new Lumia devices from Nokia during the event, one of which is the Lumia 1520. There have been rumors of a large Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet, but we will have to wait and see if that happens.

Nokia is also reportedly planning some new accessories and will unveil them during the event. Nokia is planning on a “large range” of form factors and devices. More on this as the event nears.
