Nokia Lumia 1520 rumored to launch on AT&T in November for $699 off contract
Recently, we learned about the Nokia Lumia 1520. This Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone packs a whopping 6 inch screen, running the upcoming GDR3 update. Now, according to a new report, this device will launch on the AT&T network in early November for an off-contract price of $699.
We learned recently that Nokia was working on a large 6 inch Windows Phone device which we now know is the Lumia 1520. For those on the AT&T carrier, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is rumored to be launched on Friday, November 8th. AT&T apparently has referred to this massive smartphone as “Beastie.”
The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be the first device that supports a 1080p resolution on Windows Phone. The device reportedly sports 2GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 6 inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage, and an SD slot. The device is expected to be available in red, black, yellow, or white, along with an off-contract price of $699. Perhaps the two-year contract price will be roughly $299.
We’ve read rumors recently that the Lumia 1520 would be announced later this month and then launched in October. “The Lumia 1520 has yet to be announced by Nokia, but the device is all but confirmed at this point due to the numerous leaks over the last few months. Originally planned to be declared at the end of September that event has reportedly been postponed according to various sources,” a report by WPCentral states.
