Earlier this month, a rumored hinted at the possible launch of the oversized Nokia Lumia 1320 on Cricket Wireless in the US. There’s a good news for customers who are waiting for the Lumia 1320 to hit retail. Cricket Wireless will exclusively offer the handset off-contract for just $229.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate Cricket Visa Promotion Card. It will be available in Cricket brick-and-mortar stores as well as online from June 13th.
“Our expanding lineup of new and popular phones on top of a nationwide, reliable network offering more 4G LTE coverage than Sprint, T-Mobile, and Metro PCS, period, is a differentiator mobile customers will enjoy every day,” said Andy Smoak, Cricket Wireless AVP of Product. “With the Nokia Lumia 1320 we are providing big value to customers at a budget friendly price.”
In terms of specs, the Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with a gigantic 6-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there’s a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage, which comes with MicroSD card support of up to 64GB. One aspect where it lacks to a great extent compared to similarly priced handsets — even its big sibling the Lumia 1520 — is the camera. The device comes with a 5MP back shooter for photos and videos, which may not offer impressive results.
The device also comes with a massive 3,400 mAh battery to make sure you never run out of juice. On the software side, it comes with Windows Phone 8 out of the box. So, who’s planning to get the Lumia 1320 from Cricket Wireless? Sound off in the comments below!Further reading: Nokia, Windows Phone
