Nokia have finally dropped the curtain on its latest flagship Windows Phone 8 device, the Lumia 1020. The device includes a 41-megapixel camera and will be available for $299 on July 26 as an AT&T exclusive.
The device is has a 4.5 inch screen, and supports 2GB of RAM along with a 1.5 Ghz dual-core S4 processor. The camera is a 6-lens Ziess camera and can shoot images at 38-megapixels. It can take oversampled 5MP images, and can take 1080p video recording with 4x zoom.
The camera is so advanced on the Lumia 1020 that Nokia are releasing their own Camera app to accommodate the many options the new 41MP camera has.
“We’ve also included Zeiss, wide-angle optics. The Lumia 1020 has 6 lenses, the most seen in a smartphone and our most advanced design ever,” Nokia stated during its live press conference today.
The Lumia 1020 will be exclusive to AT&T in the United States and will run for $299.99 on a two year contract, with colors ranging from matte black, white, and yellow. AT&T will begin taking pre-orders on July 16th with a full launch on July 26th. You can head over to AT&T for info on the new smartphone.
