All luck for a new Windows Insider build this week has just run out. Despite teases for a Friday release, Dona Sarkar just tweeted there would be no new builds this week due to the need for more internal testing.
#WindowsInsiders, we need more internal testing before we can release our current build candidate to you and we are going to spend a LOT of selfhost hours on this this weekeend. Have a wonderful weekend! <3

As you likely know, this is not the first delay or issue to face Windows Insiders. In the days following the news of the next releases including Windows Timeline and Sets there was an initial issue with a bug in UWP apps which prevented the build candidate from being pushed out. Then this week, Windows Insiders have been dealing with a strange issue where some were getting kicked out of the Skip Ahead Ring, and Sarkar said that it has now been fixed:
Yes, we fixed the rings issue on our side. If anyone is still seeing the "You've been removed from Skip Ahead" message, please ping me. There have been NO changes to your rings. https://t.co/NYjp1rcOcI

Anyway, the status update from Dona is much appreciated, and we expect the Windows Insider team to pull overtime this weekend and correct the issues with the build candidate. If all goes well, hopefully, we might see a new build next week. For now, though, keep those Windows Insider machines ready, and enjoy the weekend!
