The NFL for Xbox One goes playoffs with new update

The final week of the regular season wrapped up last week — I mean the NFL for those who don’t follow these things. That’s football to us here, though that sport’s word has a much different meaning for the rest of you. Now, it’s playoff time. When those lucky enough to have a team in the post-season get all excited and start thinking in terms of Super Bowl wins.

Now Xbox looks to bring all the gridiron action to you. Today, Larry Hryb, better known to most as Major Nelson, announces the latest update for Xbox customers. “This morning, the NFL on Xbox One debuted a new way to predict performances in upcoming Playoff contests, including the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl XLVIII. Participants will also be entered for a chance to win tickets to attend Super Bowl XLVIII or Super Bowl XLIX, as well as other exciting prizes”, Hryb announces today.

For most of us, fantasy football season is over, and I hope your team fared far better than mine. But predicting performance is still important — especially if you happen to be a fan of one of the remaining twelve teams vying for the February trophy.

The app can be launched from any Xbox One, and will now display a brand new playoff interface. You can even make your own predictions on what you expect to happen in the big games. Better get started, as the first kickoff is scheduled for tomorrow.
