This year, Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference has been renamed to Microsoft Inspire. According to what the company said in December, the partner-focused event has been renamed to better reflect "how Microsoft and our partner community inspire each other to innovate and deliver powerful new solutions to customers."
The first Inspire conference just kicked off today in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D. C., and the Redmond giant is hosting around 17,000 attendees from around the globe through July 13. This is the first time that the event dedicated at Microsoft's partner community is being held in D.C., but the company has already decided where next year's Inspire conference will be located. Following a previous tweet from ZDNet reporter Mary Jo Foley, Microsoft CMO Chris Capossela confirmed that Inspire 2018 will be in Las Vegas in July, and co-located with Microsoft's internal Ready conference.

Las Vegas is quite an interesting choice for the business event: as a reminder, Microsoft moved its Build developer conference to Seattle this year and Microsoft Ignite, another big conference for businesses and IT leaders will be held in Orlando, Florida in September. If you're attending Microsoft Inspire this year, let us know in the comments if you think moving the conference to Las Vegas next year is a good idea.
