New Windows 8 beta images leak onto the web

New images of Microsoft’s next operating system, Windows 8 have leaked onto the web today featuring the changes to the login screen and desktop explorer. It is unknown if these images are real, so take what your about to read with caution.

Win8China has today posted two new articles featuring new Windows 8 beta images. The articles talk about the changes and updates that the login screen and explorer have received since the Windows Developer Preview that was released in September earlier this year.

The first article talks about the changes to the logon screen in the Windows 8 beta. Changes feature a new default colour, and updates to the Ease of Access window.

Not much has changed with the UI of the login screen, the only major difference is the colour.

Now, the second article talks about some of the improvements to the desktop explorer. Changes include the ability to choose what you want to do with unknown file types, you can browse the Store for the right program, or look for an app on from the web.

Remember, WinBeta cannot confirm the legitimacy of these images, so take them with a grain of salt.

The Windows 8 Beta is only a couple of months away, Microsoft is planning to release the beta to the public in February of 2012. The beta is expected to be signed off by the end of this month.
