The Windows 10 Slack app has just updated with the new ability to backup user data so that the app can be uninstalled and reinstalled without losing anything. There are no details on whether the data is backed up to the cloud or stored locally on the device but in either case, the function can be activated in the app’s settings.

The Slack app was added to the Windows Store just a few days ago however, instead of it being upgraded to the Universal Windows Platform app format, is simply the traditional Desktop app version.
