New Swedish Surface Pro 4 ad shows how a composer writes a symphony for Stockholm

A few days ago we reported on a Swedish commercial for Windows 10 poked which poked fun at addiction to touch screens. Today, yet another Microsoft Sweden commercial has emerged from the Northern Europen country, but this time it shows how a composer writes a symphony for Stockholm using the Surface Pro 4.

As seen above, the one minute and 55-second ad features Norwegen musical composer Eirik Røland. In the ad, the composer travels around Stockholm with his Surface Pro 4 and seeks to answer the question “What does a city sound like in music.” The composer ultimately writes down what inspired him, and by using the Windows 10 application Staffpad, plus the Surface Pen, his handwritten musical notes were able to be converted into a typeset score.
