New Surface Arc Mouse now available for pre-order in three colors

Microsoft yesterday introduced Windows 10 S, and Surface Laptop during an education centered event in New York City. While those announcements stole the show and received the most attention from the media, also on display the event was a new Surface Arc Mouse. The new version of the Surface-branded Arc Mouse is now available for pre-order and comes in a total of three colors.

The new Surface Arc Mouse is the perfect pair to any Surface device since it is designed without the bulk of traditional mouse and has an ultra portable design. Coming in Burgandy, Light Gray, and Cobalt Blue, the mouse can be preordered for $79.99 from the Microsoft Store.

Powered by 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included in the box!) the mouse connects via Bluetooth 4.0, and has 2 buttons, a right and left click, complete with a full scroll plane, horizontal and vertical scrolling. Microsoft lists that the battery can go as far as 9 months and also mentions that the mouse weighs only 2.91 ounces. It's also compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 8, though the host device must support Bluetooth 4.0.

As a side note, Microsoft also mentions that many Apple and Windows 7 devices do not support Bluetooth 4.0, so the mouse might not connect properly with these devices.

Do you think you will purchase the new Surface Arc Mouse? If the answer is yes, be sure to head to the Microsoft Store now and secure your order! Once you've checked things out, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
