Streamlabs Studio on Xbox

Streamlabs today announced the launch of a new product, Streamlabs Studio, that makes custom Twitch stream layouts available to Xbox console streamers.

This new service essentially lets Xbox console users broadcast their Twitch stream to Streamlabs’ servers where the audio and footage is then added to a custom cloud-hosted stream layout with alerts and scenes.

This custom overlay and footage is immediately redirected to the user’s Twitch channel where it can be watched by viewers on the Twitch website and the various Twitch apps.

Streamlabs Studio is honestly a gamechanger when it comes to console Twitch streaming as previously streamers were required to either stream with no layouts or alerts on an Xbox console or export to a PC with broadcasting software via a capture card. Xbox console owners can now broadcast professional-looking Twitch streams without the need for a PC or capture card. This is going to improve the quality of Xbox streams on Twitch enormously.

Streamlabs Studio can also add webcam footage to streams either by using a webcam that’s connected to an Xbox console directly via USB or a smartphone or tablet. Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles are all supported.

Unfortunately, Streamlabs Studio does not support the original Xbox One console.

Streamlabs Studio does require a $4.99 monthly (or $49.99 yearly) fee to use though a seven-day free trial is available for those that want to try it out.
