Microsoft Surface 3 is available for sale in several markets, but it seems a new mid-range offering is expected to hit retail shelves in Germany. The new model, as spotted by the folks at WinFuture.de (via Windows Central), the new Surface 3 model comes with a new SKU (LC5-00003) featuring 64GB of internal storage coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The model is apparently in stock at German retailers and is ready to ship, carrying a price tag of 659 Euros which easily sits between the entry-level and high-end Surface 3 models.
Apart from the bump in RAM to 4GB, the rest of the specifications remains the same as the other versions of the tablet. There’s a 10.8-inch ClearType display with a 1,920 by 1,280 pixels resolution, an Atom x7 processor, Bluetooth 4.0, WIFi, 8MP rear camera for photos and videos, 3.5MP front-facing camera, full sized USB port, and ships with Windows 8.1 as its operating system. Customers also get free 1 year Office 365 Personal subscription.
There’s no word if the said variant will be exclusive to European countries, or if it will make an appearance in other global markets. We’ll update you if we get to hear anything more about the launch of the mid-range Surface 3 model in other markets.
