New Microsoft Store in Michigan set for a ribbon cutting ceremony lead by CEO Steve Ballmer
Microsoft is set to launch a new retail Microsoft Store in Troy, Michigan, this coming Friday at 10:30am and the software giant’s very own CEO will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony. Steve Ballmer, a Detroit native, will join CBS along with recording artist Kelly Clarkson during the ribbon cutting ceremony and performance.
“Customers should arrive early to the grand opening ceremonies on Friday for a chance to win giveaways and receive free tickets to the special performance by Clarkson later that day,” CBS Detroit reported. Microsoft’s CEO will be giving away $1 million dollars in software grants as part of the ribbon cutting ceremony.
This new Microsoft Store marks the 42nd store location and is roughly 3,300 square feet with around 45 employees. Microsoft’s retail store is an outlet for those who wish to purchase Windows 8 PCs, Surface devices, Office 365 subscriptions, Windows Phone 8 devices, Xbox 360 and Kinect, and various other Microsoft products.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 10:30 AM on Friday, June 28th. So if you live nearby, maybe you can stop by and get a chance to meet Ballmer!
