While many carriers have been releasing the Nokia Lumia Black update, we still await the start of the Windows Phone 8.1 update era. Rumors abound regarding what we can expect with this big update, but today, a new screenshot of what is one of the most requested features, separate volume controls, emerged from WPbar.cn.
The Windows Phone 8.1 update, which is expected to be announced during Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 conference, will be as big as Windows 8.1. Rumors state that there will be a notification center, a Siri-like personal assistant, and other small features like a Bing Smart Search (just like in Windows 8), VPN support, and other new features and tweaks.
Thanks to Windows Phone Central, who have explained what the screenshot meant, since it’s in Chinese.
Let’s start from the bottom. The left bottom icon indicates whether the phone is on silent mode or not. To the right, the gear icon takes you to the sound settings page. The lower sound controller modifies the audio outputting from “Media + apps”, while the one on the top controls the audio for “Ringer + notifications”.
This feature is the second most requested change that people have been requesting. As seen from the Windows Phone User Voice site, 85,552 people have voted for having this feature available in Windows Phone.
Is this feature what you mostly need from Windows Phone 8.1? Or do you think other features are more important, like the Siri-like personal assistant, the notification center, or even the VPN? Comment below!Further reading: Leak, Windows Phone 8.1
