Three new driver updates from Intel has been pushed to Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 devices last evening (US time) reports Windows Central.
The updates – none of which requires a system restart – are for the Intel Xeon E3, Intel 100 Series Chipset Family SMBUS (System Management Bus), and the Intel 100 Series Chipset Family PMC (Power Management Control). The latter two, in particular, all reportedly deal with power and power source management.
Besides the supposed power management improvement, there is also an update for the Gaussian Mixture Model for Intel Xeon E3, which, after a short Wikipedia check, was deemed to be too complicated to be explained (a simple explanation from you, our dear readers, would be greatly appreciated, however). Stay tuned for other improvements coming to Microsoft devices and software.Further reading: Microsoft, Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, Windows 10
