Netflix for Windows Phone gets a visual overhaul and Cortana integration
When it comes to streaming movies and TV shows on Windows Phone, it comes down to two serious contenders; Netflix and Hulu. While Hulu Plus may offer some of the newer TV shows, Netflix still reigns supreme in terms of archive size, and a better app experience.
The official Netflix app for Windows Phone gets even better today as it hits version 4.0, bringing alone a new user interface, the ability to select profiles, higher video quality, a new Live Tile, the ability to pin your favorite content to the Start Screen, post-play support and Cortana integration. That’s of course including obligatory bug fixes and performance improvements that happen behind the scenes.
It’s a good list of updates that should keep novice and heavy mobile Netflix views for the coming months. If you don’t have a Netflix account yet, a monthly subscription would give you access to unlimited TV shows and movies which you can watch anytime, for as often as you like. Your content will also sync across devices, so you can start watching a movie on your tablet for example, then continue right where you left off on your phone. Very convenient.
