The National Trust now has a Windows Phone app

Going for a family day out in the UK (at least in England and Wales) tends to mean one of two things: a trip to the zoo, or to a National Trust property. Indulging in this fine tradition has now become a little easier, following the release of an official app on the Windows Phone Store.

Users of the app will be able to search for more information on specific locations, keep up to date on events and occasions, save favorite places and even invite friends by sharing places by email, text or social media. The app also comes with offline functionality, a sensible inclusion given the remote locations and lack of WiFi at most properties.

With more than 550 properties throughout the UK, the National Trust is one of the largest heritage organizations in the UK. From historic houses to archeological sites, stunning beaches to rolling countryside, it has something to match almost any taste.

Will you be making use of the National Trust app? Let us know in the comments below.
