Mozilla embracing Metro framework for Firefox, not fighting it
As we learned not that long ago, Mozilla is working on creating Firefox as a desktop app as well as a Metro app for the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. Of course, developing a Firefox Metro app requires a lot of work and so far the company has begun to make progress.
“Firefox on Metro will not simply be Firefox desktop copied into the Metro environment, we are embracing the framework instead of fighting it,” Mozilla stated in an official blog post. On top of that, Mozilla has already begun work on the Metro splashscreen and tile. The company is close to getting all the code together to form a browser. “We’re still very early in development but we’re making great progress,” the company added.
