Rooster Teeth, the entertainment company behind the RTX series of conventions has chosen Mixer as its livestream partner for RTX Austin 2018. For three days between August 3rd and 5th, Mixer will provide live coverage of the convention that will celebrate gaming and Internet culture with various panels and live events.
“All throughout the event we’ll be bringing you all the best panels directly from the show floor, along with your favorite shows like The Rooster Teeth Podcast, On The Spot, Off Topic Podcast, Always Open and more – all available on the Official Mixer RTX Team, right here! Plus, all your favorites from the Rooster Teeth team like Burnie Burns, Geoff Ramsey, Gus Sorola, Barbara Dunkelman and more will be there to bring it all together,” wrote Mixer’s Community Manager Josh Stein today.
RTX Austin is the Rooster Teeth flagship convention, and last year’s edition attracted more than 60,000 attendees. The partnership should definitely help to put Mixer on the map, and it’s nice to see the platform slowly evolving from a pure video games streaming service to a destination where you can follow live events.
