Twitch, Mixer, Xbox apps on iOS / iPhone

Microsoft’s Mixer app updated to Version 5.4.0 on both iOS and Android devices today. This latest update adds the ability to download clips from the mobile app, better clip navigation, and improved moderation tools for chat.

Here’s the full release notes:

This release contains the following updates:

  • Streamers, now you and your channel editors can download your own clips directly from the mobile app.
  • Explore clips more easily than ever with infinite scrolling and top clips. Go to your favorite channel and watch their top clips now!
  • Keep your community safe with /clear and /ban chat commands now on mobile.
  • And as always, there are bug fixes and general app stability improvements.

Mixer is Microsoft’s video game streaming service that allows anyone to broadcast gameplay, podcasts, or even casual video chats to their followers. Viewers can view streams on the mobile and Xbox apps or via the Xbox One dashboard and from within a web browser on any device.

Microsoft has been putting a lot of weight behind Mixer recently with the signing of major streamers such as Ninja. The service has also thrown its weight behind supporting smaller streamers such as those who fall under the LGBT umbrella for Pride Month or Black streamers during the current unrest in the United States by featuring them on the main page and promoting special chat stickers.
