In the very beginning, Minecraft started out as a PC game, although the original console port was for the Xbox 360. Later on, Microsoft went ahead and acquired Mojang, and the rest is history.

We are now celebrating 10 years of Minecraft having made its debut on May 9, 2012, on Xbox 360.

Of course, over time technology has evolved and the game is not as popular on Xbox 360, which is why 4J Studios ported the game to Xbox One and multiple other platforms. Essentially, what this means is that gamers can get to experience the game on Microsoft’s latest consoles such as the Xbox Series X|S.
