Coming this summer, Telltale will continue the Minecraft story with Season 2! On July 11, 2017, a new five-part Minecraft Story Mode will be available for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Jesse will continue his path in Season 2 with an all-new adventure, featuring Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Ashley Johnson and Scott Porter. More details soon, but Telltale confirms that Minecraft Season 2 will also feature cameos from YouTube stars Stampy Cat and StacyPlays.

Minecraft’s Season 2 starts off with Jesse facing a new challenge, according to the game description:

“As a simple treasure hunt goes wrong, trapping Jesse’s hand in a cursed prismarine gauntlet, we discover that maybe there are other downsides to fame, too – like having a dark and ancient power know your name. A new adventure beckons, sending Jesse on a quest to the darkest depths of the world – and beyond! Joined by a motley band of familiar faces, fortune hunters, sometime enemies and one deeply disobedient llama, there will be tough choices, peril aplenty and no shortage of People Who Will Remember That.”

The first episode in the five-part series will be titled “Hero in Residence,” and will be available for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Stay tuned to OnMSFT for more details in the next few weeks.
