Microsoft's Server and Cloud Enrollment offers lowest price Windows Azure to enterprise customers

As promised back at the beginning of October, Microsoft is introducing new discounts for enterprise customers. The new Server and Cloud Enrollment (SCE) encompasses server and cloud services, including the lowest price on Windows Azure, and rewards customers for taking up multiple products and services.

The discounts are being introduced as changes are made to Microsoft’s Enterprise Agreement which is available to organizations with more than 250 users or devices. It amounts, essentially, to a bulk purchase discount.

“The Server and Cloud Enrollment is an enrollment under the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement that enables highly committed customers to standardize broadly on one or more key server and cloud technologies from Microsoft. In exchange for making an installed-based–wide commitment to one or more components of Server and Cloud Enrollment, you receive the best pricing and terms, plus other benefits including cloud-optimized licensing options and simplified license management.”

There’s a 15 percent discount on offer for new Software Assurance purchases, and a 5 percent discount on renewal. Full details are available in the SCE datasheet and FAQ.
