Microsoft’s Managed Home Screen Android app updates with a new icon and x64-bit support

Posted in:

Microsoft’s Managed Home Screen is the latest Android app to update with a new-style logo in the fresh design aesthetic that was revealed last year.

This update changes the old blue logo to orange and rounds its corners but really doesn’t change it as much as the other apps did to their logos. This icon change follows Microsoft’s Exchange which also upgraded its icon this week.

In addition to the icon change, this update also adds support for x64-bit tablets and allows for the addition of a Time & Weather widget on a home screen.

Here’s the full release notes:

  • Thanks for using Managed Home Screen! In this update we’re bringing you:
  • An updated look! We have a new Managed Home Screen app icon and a new Managed Setting icon.
  • Support for x64-bit devices.
  • The ability to add a Time & Weather widget to your device home screen.
  • A bunch of bug fixes

Managed Home Screen is an app designed for businesses to turn Android tablets into single-use devices for customers or other employees to use.
