Microsoft’s GroupMe app for Windows Phone 8 receives update, gets a new group design
Microsoft’s GroupMe app for Windows Phone 8 has received an update today, fixing a few bugs and adding a few new features. GroupMe is a great app that acts like your own private social network, just for the people you know. GroupMe is also described as a “faster and better reply-all email.”
“GroupMe is the best way to chat with everyone you know. It’s absolutely free, whether you’re talking to a group of friends, or texting with one person. Best of all, it works on nearly every phone, via push or SMS. With GroupMe, it’s easy to reach anyone, anytime, anywhere. On GroupMe, you can catch up with your family, get a group together for a night out, coordinate with co-workers, or just gossip with a few of your closest friends,” the app description reads.
In this newest update, which bumps the version number to 220.127.116.11, we not only get bug fixes but also a new group design and more. Here are the changes:
- New group design!
- Easily explore the photos and videos shared in your groups in the gallery
- Give your groups a strong identity with a new larger group avatar
- Clear chat history in groups and direct messages
- Other bug fixes and improvements
