There are plenty of Xbox One games to be excited about in 2015; Microsoft says that it has plans to release even more in 2016. Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg noted more Xbox One games will see the light of day in 2016 than we saw come out in 2015. It wasn’t until the end of the 2015 that Xbox One finally put out games that anyone really wanted to play.
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg tells Kinda Funny in a YouTube interview how Xbox One will see more games coming in 2016:
“We expect to sell more games next year and we have more game titles releasing next year than we do this year. If you start to look at that list of things that are coming, we have in Quantum Break in April, Killer Instinct Season 3, Recore, Scalebound, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2 and Gears of War 4 and probably some we haven’t announced.”
Quantum Break kept getting delayed due to development issues, and it is the only Xbox One exclusive coming in 2016. Fortunately, Greenberg noted that Quantum Break will be released April 5th, 2016; staying on schedule. Greenberg also describes the power struggle in sales between Xbox One and PS4. Greenberg hints that while Xbox One may be trailing PS4 in sales, it is selling more Xbox Ones than it did Xbox 360s.
“Globally, if you look at Xbox One sales month-by-month and how we stack up against where the Xbox 360 was, and I think Xbox 360 was widely regarded as a huge success for us, we are month-by-month selling more Xbox Ones than we did Xbox 360s.”
As the Xbox One versus PS4 eternal sales struggle continues, Xbox One gamers will just have to hold their breath that Greenberg’s words on more Xbox One games coming out in 2016 holds some weight. At the moment, it looks like the only Xbox One exclusive that Microsoft has is Quantum Break.
