Microsoft's .future podcast highlights the lives Minecraft has helped to change

Many Minecraft fans know about MinecraftChick, the pink haired YouTuber that shared her misadventures on the daily. However, not quite as many know who Lydia Winters was before her big break on the world wide web, and how circumstance and a love of Minecraft led to becoming the game's brand director.

.Future, a podcast series founded by Microsoft and Gimlet Creative is spotlighting four stories of how the blocky sandbox hit from Mojang had truly changed the lives of its players. "I can't really even begin to describe how much Minecraft has changed my trajectory," Winters (a.k.a. MinecraftChick) explained as she details her first meeting with Mojang CEO at E3.

You can check out the stories from Winters, Josh Wulf (founder of, Victoria Bennett (poet and author), and Trupti Amritwar (CEO of Mumbai Environment and Social Network) as each shares their personal experiences. Can't listen to the podcast? A full transcript can be found here.
