Microsoft’s Continue on PC iOS app updated to Version 1.9.5 earlier today. This update didn’t include any new features or fixes but instead added a message upon startup saying that the app would be shut down next month on July 27th.

“On July 27, 2021 the Continue on PC app will no longer be supported,” the new splash screen reads. “To continue sharing web pages between your devices, install Edge.”

The release notes also contain a similar message:

Thanks for the memories! Continue on PC is going away. As of July 27, 2021 Continue on PC will no longer be supported. We thank you for allowing us to be part of your link sharing experience.

The Continue on PC app adds extra functionality to iPhone and iPad devices that allows them to send content to a connected Windows 10 PC which then automatically opens in the Microsoft Edge browser. It’s a genuinely useful feature but one that has become a bit redundant as the iOS Microsoft Edge app now features Continue on PC as a built-in feature plus users can now sync browsing history between iOS and Windows by logging into Edge with the same account.
