If you’ve ever used Microsoft Edge then you’ve likely come across something developed under the guidance of a man by the name of Johnathan Sampson. While Jonathan Sampson is most known for being a Program Manager at the Microsoft Edge team, he recently announced that he will be parting ways with Microsoft, and provided insight on the team behind Edge.
What an exciting ride these past couple of years have been on the Edge team—I'll be leaving MSFT this month, but excited to watch from afar!

The original announcement of his parting of ways with Microsoft was made on his Twitter, followed by subsequent tweets which give the world a peek into the other members of the Edge team. He first mentioned Jacob Rossi, who is responsible for the Microsoft Edge status page, and then he followed up by mentioning Kyle Pflug, who apparently enables Edge to have a good presence at conferences. Of course, the tweets did not end there, and shout outs were given to other team members as well, all of which can be seen below.
- Antón Molleda– Primary engineer behind edge.ms
- David Storey- Web platform engineer (ensures good design, accessibility of websites.)
- Colleen Williams– Program manager who works tirelessly for the community.
- Jason McConnell and Molly Dalton– “Silent operatives” who don’t get public praise but are silently coordinating efforts.
- Charles Morris: Leader of Jonathan’s team
- Greg Whitworth– The “CSS guy”
- Todd Reifsteck– Senior Program Manager for Performance and Memory for Microsoft Edge
- Travis Leithead
- Arron Eicholz
No announcement at this time, but I'll continue to be a faithful Windows Weekly listener 🙂

It’s not exactly clear where Jonathan will be heading next, but we are wishing Jonathan the best on his journey moving forward, and (as his LinkedIn notes) hope that he can still radically change the world.
