Microsoft wants to help you shake those old misconceptions of Internet Explorer (video)
Microsoft has reveals a new video promoting its Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft teams up with singer-songwriter Laura Gibson to help create a new video that reminds you “things aren’t always what they seem” and that the new Internet Explorer will help you shake those old misconceptions of Internet Explorer.
Microsoft has been working hard to convince users that Internet Explorer isn’t what it used to be. For example, just recently, Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 11 Preview exclusively for those who install Windows 8.1 Preview. Microsoft touts IE11 as the browser that offers better touch performance, faster page load times, continuous browsing experience across Windows devices, and a completely redesigned and reimagined F12 developer tools.
Not to be outdone, Microsoft is also touting its Internet Explorer 10 browser as the most energy efficient browser on Windows 8. Microsoft even compared IE to Chrome and Firefox, claiming that Internet Explorer uses up to 18% less energy. Microsoft is also touting Internet Explorer 10 as the browser that was designed with security in mind. Microsoft believes IE10 can block over 99% of malware and has less vulnerabilities compared to rival browsers on the Windows operating system.
