Microsoft has added machine learning capabilities to its Azure cloud platform, the company revealed today. Azure Machine Learning brings together the capabilities of new analytics tools, powerful algorithms developed for Bing and Xbox, and years of machine learning experience into one simple cloud service.
“Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, a fully-managed cloud service for building predictive analytics solutions, helps overcome the challenges most businesses have in deploying and using machine learning. How? By delivering a comprehensive machine learning service that has all the benefits of the cloud. In mere hours, with Azure ML, customers and partners can build data-driven applications to predict, forecast and change future outcomes – a process that previously took weeks and months,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
In case you were wondering what the power of machine learning can do, simply head over to Bing and do a search. Or use Cortana, the digital voice assistant on Windows Phone 8.1. Other examples of machine learning include online product recommendations and GPS traffic directions.
Azure Machine Learning will be previewed in July and will begin the company’s journey to deliver machine learning with all the benefits of cloud computing for every organization. Check out the video embedded below showcasing the new feature.
