Microsoft’s Bing Image Creator has gained attention for its impressive AI-driven image generation capabilities, powered by the Image Creator tool and Bing Chat. The inclusion of DALL-E 3, an advanced AI model developed by OpenAI, has revolutionized the art of image generation.

Nonetheless, the current image moderation system of the platform is receiving criticism due to its rigidness, leading to a significant number of false positives. Several reports have emerged of images being erroneously flagged and filtered out due to what some users describe as an “overzealous” moderation system.

One user, who took to X (formerly Twitter), expressed frustration, saying, “The image filter got overzealous over the weekend, not sure if that was intended.”

Mikhail Parakhin from Microsoft acknowledged the concerns raised by the user and stated, “We have received some reports regarding our moderation system, and we are looking into the matter to improve its performance.”

Yes, we received some reports, looking deeper, improving the moderation system.

The above statement came in response to the concerns raised by users. However, Parakhin’s response suggests that Microsoft is actively addressing the issue and working towards enhancing the moderation system to ensure a more seamless user experience.

It remains to be seen how Microsoft will fine-tune its image moderation system in response to user feedback and criticism. As the tech giant continues to push the boundaries of AI-driven content creation, striking the right balance between creativity and content control will be vital in maintaining the platform’s appeal and user satisfaction.
