Microsoft to hold digital event on Microsoft Security and ransomware featuring Charlie Bell

Microsoft is holding a digital event today starting 9:00 AM through to 10:30 AM Pacific Time (UTC-7). The digital event is focused on helping organizations learn how to combat ransomware from compromising their systems. Charlie Bell, whose mandate at Microsoft is to assist with revamping their approach to cyber security, hosting both threats and paid solutions will be part of the digital event as a speaker alongside Vasu Jakkal and Lou Manousos. Bell, erstwhile Amazon Web Services veteran joined Microsoft as a Corporate Vice President back in February.

Microsoft also provided a rundown of what to expect during the digital event as highlighted below:

  • Hear key insights from Microsoft’s leadership including a fireside conversation between Charlie Bell, Executive Vice President of Microsoft Security and Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Security, Compliance, Identity, and Privacy Business.
  • Learn about two new security solutions: Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence and Microsoft Defender External Attack Surface Management.
  • See threat intelligence in action and learn how to use it to prevent and remove threats like ransomware.
  • Get your questions answered by threat protection experts during a live Q&A chat.

In other news, Microsoft will be running Microsoft Ignite from October 22-24, this will be the first in-person event to be held post the COVID-19 pandemic, though space will be limited.
