WMPoweruser.com has reported that Microsoft’s team is working on a curved software keyboard that might be made available in Windows Phone 8. The image they have posted is a courtesy of a leaked Microsoft Research presentation.
The new curved keyboard interface is being designed for one-handed thumb typing, allowing users to use a predictive text technology to thumb over letters. This keyboard could be a part of recently announced Windows Phone 8 codenamed Apollo. Microsoft have revealed last year that they were working on a “one handed input and next gen soft keyboard.” Well, Microsoft did not reveal any information on this kind of keyboard during the Windows Phone Summit, where they revealed Windows Phone 8, so one can only wonder where this keyboard will make its appearance.
