Microsoft teases up-coming gesture support in Windows 10

With Windows 8, Microsoft made a conscious decision to improve touchpads on Windows laptops to behave more like touch screens. Windows 8 also featured some gestures, such as swiping from the right to activate the charm menu. However, even with all of this, the trackpads still generally felt inferior to the ones on Macs — mostly due to the intuitive gestures OSX provides.

Microsoft is finally catching up with those gestures on Windows 10 (build 9865)! Three finger swipe down will hide all your windows and display the desktop. To get the windows back, swipe three fingers up. Three fingers up (when you have windows open) triggers task view (can see windows and desktops). Three fingers left or right will act like alt-tab, and can switch between your windows.

Additionally, Microsoft is providing multi-monitor support for Windows 10 features. The Snap assist can now be used to snap across multiple displays. The company promises much more coming after the New Year, when they focus on the consumer side of Windows, which, honestly feels like a long time away.
