Microsoft Teams tip: chat from hover card

Posted in:

Microsoft Teams is already a great way to communicate with both coworkers and friends across your company or school, but there’s now an even easier way to stay in touch with them. Noted by a trusted contributor on the Microsoft TechNet Community, you can now chat directly from the hover card on Microsoft Teams.

Quite obviously, to use this feature, all you need to do is hover over anyone’s picture in Teams to bring up the hover card. Then, at the bottom of the card you’ll notice a “Send Message” box, where you can quickly send a message to someone without having to click on the chat button. Though typing in this box won’t open a chat window, it is still a quick way to send a message to someone and save some time in a busy day.
