While Microsoft has seemingly come out of the gate as Slack’s number one competitor with its Microsoft Teams communication app, the reality is, the chat app still needs a lot of tweaking and work to put it on par with the current industry leader.
Fortunately, Microsoft is constantly adding missing features and performance upgrades, and today Teams on Android gained new call functionality.
According to the release notes, Microsoft Teams for Android,
- Share a video while on a call or in a meeting.
- Use companion mode to share additional content from your phone in a meeting.
- Bug fixes and performance improvements.
Most users should be getting the update pushed to their devices by now, but if you want to grab it immediately, you can head to the Google Play Store to update it manually.Further reading: Android, Microsoft, Slack, Teams
