The Microsoft SwiftKey Beta app updated to Version 7.8.3.4 this week on Android smartphones and tablets.

This latest update removes the search bar from the toolbar and made some refinements to the emoji panel to improve user flow to GIFs and stickers.

Here’s the full release notes:

  • We’ve redesigned the emoji panel for easier access to other categories and features such as GIFs and Stickers.
  • We fixed a blank emoji panel issue when switching between different emoji categories.
  • We’ve removed web search from your toolbar.

Microsoft SwiftKey Beta is used to test design changes and new features before they’re rolled out to all users on the main SwiftKey app. The changes made this week to the Beta app will likely show up on the main app sometime in the coming months if they’re judged to be beneficial to users and free of bugs.
