Microsoft Store on eBay officially opens today in the USA

Microsoft has expanded its retail footprint and unveiled the Microsoft Store on eBay today, for those of you in the United States. The Microsoft Store on eBay offers consumers another convenient and safe online shopping experience for Microsoft products.

“Today, I am thrilled to announce the opening of the Microsoft Store on eBay in the U.S.! We are excited to work with eBay to help expand our retail footprint and give even more customers another complimentary, convenient and safe online shopping destination to purchase their favorite Microsoft first-party products – just in time for the busy holiday shopping season,” Microsoft’s Vice President Online Commerce Kevin Eagan stated in an official blog post today.

Since eBay features over 124 million active users globally, the made sense for Microsoft to capitalize on having its own products given special attention on the popular site. “Our customers can expect the same safe online shopping experience, return policy and free shipping from the Microsoft Store on eBay that they’ve come to expect on microsoftstore.com,” Microsoft explained.

“The Microsoft Store on eBay will sell Microsoft first-party products, as well as curated products appealing to the eBay community, resulting in a unique shopping experience entirely different from shopping in a brick and mortar store,” eBay stated in an official press release today. This store will offer Surface RT, Surface Pro, Xbox 360 and accessories, Kinect, Surface accessories, Microsoft keyboards and mice, and refurbished products. Interestingly, the store isn’t offering the Surface 2 or Surface Pro 2 – at least not yet .

The Microsoft Store on eBay looks very similar to the online Microsoft Store, so your shopping experience can be familiar. Head over to the store and check it out for yourself – they even have a Deals section!
